About us

TVEP is an business development initiative for engineering employers on Teesside. It was set up in 2001 to provide a platform for senior managers and directors to meet and discuss common concerns. The Partnership is now working in a close alliance with the University of Teesside to develop and implement a strategy for the engineering sector. The TVEP was strengthened further at the beginning of 2008 with Sir John Hall's acceptance of the role of Honorary President.

The recent visioning exercise (see 2015 vision) indicated TVEP should, initially, dedicate resources on 4 main areas; marketing, energy, technology and education and skills. This emphasis is reflected in our organisation chart. It shows the structure of TVEP and the names of the people most closely involved in it's activities.

The 'Board' is an open forum attended by more employers, representatives of FE/HE, from the sector skills council SEMTA, the process industries cluster (NePIC), Northern Offshore Federation, Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and other interested parties.

Although primarily an employer forum much emphasis is put on to collaboration with local and regional support organisations and strategic bodies.
