Newcastle Offshore Business Growth Continues

Fabricom Offshore Services, subsidiary of GDF SUEZ Energy Services, continues to develop in its first year as a successful growing business in the North East of England, with a significant contract secured with upstream oil and gas operator, Talisman Energy (UK) Limited.
Fabricom Offshore Services (FOS) has been awarded the contract for topside modifications to tie-in the Auk North riser flowline and subsea power and controls systems to the Fulmar “A” Platform.
In November 2008, as part of the Auk North over Fulmar field development project, FOS completed a Front End Engineering Design (FEED) study, including a cost estimate and project implementation schedule.
The FEED Study formed the basis of the present contract, which is to complete the topsides detailed engineering and provide procurement services. Procurement packages will be generated to allow the purchase of all equipment, bulk materials, fabrication of pipework and construction of Variable Speed Drives and Controls Modules.
Work has already commenced and will provide the necessary information to proceed to the fabrication, construction and implementation phase of the project.
