Regional and national experts will highlight how sustainability affects the construction industry in the North East, later this month.
Tickets are still available for the Sustainability Factor Conference, which is a joint venture by Constructing Excellence in the North East and the CIOB North East being held at Durham County Cricket Club on Wednesday, January 24.
Speakers at the conference include carbon coach Dave Hampton, who will talk about how people can reduce their carbon footprint, and Diana Pearce, head of built environment at the Government Office for the North East.
The event is a programme of talks designed to highlight sustainability issues in the construction industry and runs from 8.30am to 12.30pm in the Riverside Suite.
Other speakers include Andrew Fennell, head of energy and renewables at Pera, Misia Jack, policy and practice officer at the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations, David Scott, design manager at John Laing, and Jill Egglestone, senior lecturer in design at the University of Teesside.
Catriona Lingwood, director of Constructing Excellence in the North East, said: “We have some excellent and exciting speakers taking part in the Sustainability Factor Conference and this is a great chance to find out more about an issue which affects us all.
